In Memory of Canela

From Canela's Family:

Canela “Nela” passed away this weekend from a tumor in the wall of her chest.

Only a few days before, she was a healthy, happy senior who enjoyed her walks, her naps, and her snacks.

A beautiful sweet dog that knew she was “all that and a bag of chips,” she came to our family from Retrievers and Friends in December 2006.

Perhaps it was her maternal instinct, but she went out of her way to ingratiate herself with the cats Romeo and Lickey.

Canela had impeccable house manners and specialized in comfort and besos. She adored her boy toy Sisko.

She could spy that husky from several blocks away and would run with abandon in his direction.

Canela will be missed by many as she gave and received love in equal measure.

In Memory of Francis

From Francis'  Family:

I had adopted a pug named Hanah almost 6 years ago, and let me tell you she was my best friend and gave me so much joy the years I had her.

I have never known such joy, laughter, and love as I did with Francis.

She may have been only 15 pounds, but she was so full of life.

I wanted to let you all know, that Francis was very loved, and brought some much love to other people. heck, she had more friends on Facebook than me.

Thanks so much for letting me adopt Francis as she was my first pup.
