Barclay
From Barclays' Family:
From the first day we brought our sweet Barclay home from Retrievers and Friends at Christmas time in 2006,
he was a such a wonderful dog. It is hard to believe he had been a kennel dog for three years - No treats, no toys, and not much human interaction.
He was a loving member of our family for almost eight years.
His calm and loving manner made him the perfect candidate to be part of the Paws and Hearts animal assisted therapy program in the Palm Desert area. He loved visiting the assisted living facilities and provided much needed love and licks to patients throughout the desert community.

He had a real knack for making the patients smile and respond in even the most difficult circumstance. In fact, he visited Manor Care and the patients there for two hours ten days before he passed away.
The picture above is of him at the Thousand Palms Library where children read stories to him and practiced their reading skills ( he was always a good listener and provided a smile for all the children - as you can see on his face ).
He will be greatly missed. Our family would like to thank Retrievers and Friends for bringing this amazing dog into our lives.
