This is Harley. He is a 7 year old Golden Retriever mix.  He was found running scared on the 4th of July. The kind finder held him for 3 days before he was picked up by his owner who said they were to busy to have come any sooner and surrendered him to RFSC. He had been living out back, forgotten for the past year. He is very thin, his bones showing, coat filthy and matted. His right ear had a huge hematoma that was causing him great pain. Covered in flys with his head held low, exhausted from the heat we welcomed him to RFSC. We immediately provided the much needed medical care, food, grooming and a soft bed. Volunteers smothered him with the love and attention he so deserved. You can see the kindness in his eyes as he starts his journey on the road to a new and happy life.
